Who we are
The Lens Room is an independent online shop at thelensroom.com for cameras, audio equipment, musical instruments, vinyl records, and film and music memorabilia: gear built to last and worth using, not just displaying. The shop is operated by Varando LTD.
What we sell
- Cameras & Optical Equipment: film and digital cameras, lenses and accessories from Nikon, Pentax, Edixa and other makers.
- Audio Equipment: amplifiers, speakers, turntables and reel-to-reel decks from brands such as Sony, Bang & Olufsen, Akai, Wharfedale and Loewe.
- Musical Instruments: electric and acoustic guitars, effects pedals, saxophones and other instruments.
- Vinyl Records: LPs, box sets and pressings across rock, pop and classical.
- Movies & TV: signed photographs, framed displays and collectables from film and television.
- Music Memorabilia: signed photos, concert posters and figures connected to musicians.
Every item is an individual, one-off piece. Stock changes often as things sell.
Where our pieces come from
Our equipment and collectables come from private collections and specialist sources across Europe and beyond. We would rather list fewer pieces accurately than many pieces vaguely, so each listing describes condition and specification as plainly as we can: the physical condition, whether the item has been tested and works, and details such as a camera's shutter count where it is known. Read the functional condition line carefully. "Not tested" and "only for parts" mean exactly what they say.
How buying from The Lens Room works
- Free shipping. Shipping is free on every order, with no delivery charge added at checkout.
- A ship-by date on every product. Each product page shows the date the item ships by, and the same date appears in your basket, at checkout and in your order confirmation. Once your order is on its way, we email you a tracking number. Full details are on our shipping policy page.
- Secure payment. You pay by card at checkout through Stripe. Prices are shown in euros.
- 14-day returns. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you can change your mind and return most orders within 14 days of delivery, no reason needed. See our returns policy for how it works.

What do the condition labels mean?
Each item has a physical condition (for example Good, Very good or Near mint) and a functional condition: "Tested and working", "Not tested" or "Only for parts". Read both before you buy.
Does shipping cost extra?
No. Shipping is free on every order at The Lens Room, and each product page shows the date the item ships by.
Can I return equipment?
Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK can return most orders within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Sealed items whose seal has been broken after delivery can be excluded. See the returns policy.
